I was involved in a helicopter crash of a CH-47 on or about 10JAN1971 while enroute from USS Cleveland to USS Iwo Jima. I was a member of Naval Special Warfare Group ONE with Beach Jumper Unit ONE (BJU-1).

BJU-1 had a classified comm shelter on the Iwo flight deck. I was the ET in support of the shelter electronics. Our unit was TDY on the Iwo from about Sept. 1970 thru about Feb or March 1971. Our personnel lived in the sickbay/dispensary area of the ship.

I am looking for anyone who may have witnessed the crash & pickup of all passengers in an effort to file for VA compensation and to prove my tour in the SE Asia Theater.
