I have been doing research in support of my own VA claim and found your name and this link. Hopefully you were able to get the information you needed to complete your claim. I was on board the Iwo Jima with you during the time cited in your message and have vivid memories of being bunked in the sickbay/dispensary area of the ship. I do not have pictures but I do remember the helicopter crash.
