I was the quarter master on board LCU 1477 that was hit by hostile fire on the CUA Viet River. I was one of the 6 sailors injured and flown to the U.S.S. Iwo Jima by helo from the CUA Viet ramp and then transferred to the U.S.S. Repose for further treatment. There was also 3 of my crew killed along with the 6 injured. Someone was filming our arrival on the U.S.S. Iwo Jima and I would like to know if that film is still available.
