Many years ago I was asked to supply my Dad's name and unit for a plague that was going to be placed somewhere on the USS IWO JIMA, has this plague been put in place? My late father served as a "doc" both at Saipan with the 2 Marine div and then at IWO JIMA as the "doc" for a machine gun company with the 4th Marine Div as they attacked Mortiarma
Air base. Any info would be appreciated.
